At Teabox, we buy the first pick of every season and take the utmost care with storage and packaging. We work directly with tea growers who hand-select tea leaves based on their texture, color, scent, and purity. By sourcing the highest-quality Indian teas directly from capable and interesting growers and estates, Teabox’s online tea shop makes it easy for anyone—from tea experts to complete novices—to experience the freshness, delicate aromas, flavors, and authenticity of fine loose-leaf tea. We can do this because we're based in the same foothills and gardens where our teas are grown.

Just as no one enjoys stale fruits, tea that has aged or been poorly stored can lose its freshness and flavor. Fresh tea, like fresh fruits, offers a more vibrant and enjoyable taste experience.

Upon arrival, we conduct a rigorous quality control process, meticulously removing impurities through hand sorting by a team of highly trained women specialists. The tea is then stored in a climate-controlled environment where temperature and humidity are carefully regulated. We bulk vacuum pack the tea to prevent degradation of quality and freshness, as vacuum packing eliminates air contact. All of this is done within seven days of the tea being produced at the plantation.

We then vacuum pack the tea in small lots and ship it to our customers, ensuring they receive exceptionally fresh tea.
